Customs broker Business Website

This project involved revamping my dad’s website as a personal gift. The site originally contained all the correct information but lacked responsiveness, multilingual support, and a modern look. My goal was to make it accessible across all screen sizes, improve usability, and provide language options in Dutch, English, German, and French, while giving it a visually appealing redesign. I independently handled the full revamp of the website, ensuring that all existing information remained accurate while improving accessibility and responsiveness. I implemented multilingual support, redesigned the layout for a modern aesthetic, and optimized the user experience across devices. Throughout the process, I also communicated with my dad to validate the design choices and ensure the site reflected his professional identity.

I began by reviewing the old website to identify pain points such as lack of responsiveness and outdated design. After creating mockups and confirming the layout, I built the site with a focus on accessibility and scalability. I implemented multilingual support, ensured proper formatting for different screen sizes, and tested the site on multiple devices to guarantee a smooth user experience.

One challenge was ensuring that the website supported multiple languages without cluttering the interface. I solved this by integrating a clean and intuitive language switcher. Another challenge was balancing modern aesthetics with a professional look that fit my dad’s work identity. To address this, I iterated on several design variations and gathered feedback before finalizing the design.

The revamped website has been successfully delivered and is now live. It is fully responsive, multilingual, and visually appealing while retaining all of the original information. My dad actively uses it to present his services, and it serves as a professional online presence that is future-proof and easy to maintain.
